Janru & Miané

I am a natural light photographer and thus make use of natural light and spaces. But how insanely cool is this setup right here? Gave me an, almost studio vibe….with amazing natural light…two cute models and loads of fun! Miané’s eyes are just as beautiful as her baby brother’s and man that smile!!! She is just the most beautiful, joyful little girl. Janru on the other hand didn’t stop smiling either! He didn’t cry once during our session. So incredibly cute and peaceful. Here is a look at some of the highlights of our sesh. . .

DJ & Charne

Garden Route Wedding Photographer

The smell of blossoms fill the air  as I enter the place I grew up in. Kirkwood. Based now in an equally beautiful George, I appreciated every second I’ve spent in the Valley. Visiting is always special as my folks still live there. I met up with DJ and Charne for a couple session! DJ grew up in front of my eyes and I still can’t believe how quickly he grew into this incredible, young man. We had tons of fun in the r a i n! Yep, it poured at times, but man, did it make for some gorgeous, spontaneous photographs! Loved every second of this session. The talented, Nadia Bothma did Charne’s make up for this sesh!

Nieuwenhuis Family

Being around the Nieuwenhuis family puts a smile on ones face. They’re a family filled with joy and love. And how cute is Nina and Lea? Nina literally smiled from ear to ear when she saw the camera. She made my work incredibly easy. I love visiting Herold, the mountains are just breathtaking! Oh and it does get chilly out there too!

Kotze Family

The Kotze family was a treat! I literally couldn’t stop laughing. We had so much fun on the beautiful Santos Beach! This is one beautiful, happy family. I’m excited to share some of the highlights of our session with you.

Claasen Family

Family! Family is truly a blessing and wow what a blessing it was to capture the Claasen family’s memories. The two boys are just a treat. Animated faces for days! We had the best afternoon in Wilderness. The love was tangible all around. Love this family! Check out some highlights of our session:

Terblanche Family

Oh, how I love cliffs and mountains and dams and cute little dresses! This family’s farm is situated just outside Oudtshoorn and boy is it breathtaking! I loved spending some time with the Terblanche family and touring the farm with them. Here’s some highlights of our session:

Cohen Family

On a beautiful Friday afternoon I visited this lovely family at their home in Wilderness. A home that has been in their family for quite some time. How special is that? I listened to stories of how Nicole and Brett got married right in front of that very house. And to top it all, it was Danni’s birthday!  This family was amazing during the photo session! Here are a few highlights:

Botha Family

I love to tell stories with my photographs and I feel like this collection tells a story of pure love. The lovely Botha family has become so special and dear to us in such a small amount of time. They’re truly inspiring and if I may say, photogenic too! Baby Amelie will join their family soon and we can not wait!

Lock-down Day 16

Wow, day 16 of lock-down is here.  We made it!

As we entered this stay-at-home period I knew that there would be some challenges, but I also knew that this was a great opportunity for growth.  Spending quality time with God and my family made me feel extremely grateful.  This time is also a great time to reflect and to do some housekeeping (not the cleaning and sweeping of the house type, although that is important too.) I felt that I needed to do some mental housekeeping.

I then started reading Joyce Meyer’s, Battlefield of the mind and realized again how important it is to guard our thoughts and hearts during this time.  Something that stood out for me as I read was that a negative thought life can’t produce a positive life.  I needed to make sure that I think of what I’m thinking about. Especially with regards to the Covid virus. Be picky what thoughts you open the door to.

We’re trying to spend a lot of time outside and including the children when we’re cooking, cleaning or just chilling.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and your families! I hope you’re having lots of fun and remember to be creative every now and again.   Keep your passion ignited.

I’d love to hear from your! Feel free to pop me a e-mail anytime.

Lots of love
